Why players plateau

Summer is where serious players either separate or stay the same.

Most players do not plateau because they lack effort. They plateau because their training is random, crowded, or disconnected from real game pressure.

1

Too many workouts. Not enough progression.

Players collect drills without a weekly plan that builds from movement to skill to competition.

2

Too many athletes per coach.

Crowded camps make it hard to correct details, demand accountability, and protect rep quality.

3

Skill work does not transfer.

Players need live 3v3 and 4v4 segments where decisions, spacing, pace, and contact show up.

4

No standard for commitment.

Development accelerates when athletes train in an environment where showing up prepared matters.

The PSH system

A professional development environment, not a recreational summer camp.

You will not find another basketball development system on the Peninsula that combines professional coaching, performance training, skill development, live play, Sunday competition, and small-group instruction at this level.

1

Professional coaching

Coaches teach, correct, and hold athletes accountable through every phase of the session.

2

Performance training

Speed, explosiveness, agility, strength habits, conditioning, and movement quality.

3

Advanced skill development

Shooting, handle, scoring reads, advantage creation, finishing, and decision-making.

4

Live 3v3 and 4v4 play

Game-speed possessions that force spacing, communication, reads, and competitive execution.

5

Weekly Sunday Gym Access

Players apply the week of training in a competitive environment every Sunday.

6

Facility access

A dedicated basketball court, full weight room, and open gym access support the full development week.

What's included

Choose the access length that fits your summer schedule.

Families can choose 1-week access, 3-week access, or 4+ week access depending on availability and schedule. Families are not paying for isolated workouts. They are investing in a complete weekly system.

Flexible access options

Choose 1-week, 3-week, or 4+ week access based on your athlete's summer schedule.

8+ hours per week

Training, competition, and development access across the week.

Performance training

Movement, speed, strength habits, agility, and conditioning.

Skill development

Shooting, ball handling, finishing, reads, and detail work.

3v3 and 4v4 live play

Small-sided games that force decisions and game transfer.

Sunday league games

Weekly competition from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Open gym access

Additional court access for players committed to extra reps.

Court and weight room

A dedicated basketball court plus full weight room access.

Train → Apply → Compete

Every week follows the same improvement loop.

Players build the physical and technical tools first, apply them in live segments, then compete on Sundays so training turns into game behavior.

Train

Build the tools.

Performance training and skill development give athletes the movement quality, footwork, touch, and reads they need.

Apply

Transfer to pressure.

3v3 and 4v4 live play connects the work to spacing, timing, physicality, and decision-making.

Compete

Prove it on Sunday.

Weekly Sunday games create accountability and give coaches a clear view of what is transferring.

Small group advantage

Only 12 athletes per program, rotating in groups of 4-6.

Capacity is intentionally limited so athletes are coached, corrected, and challenged. Small rotations give players more reps, cleaner feedback, and better accountability.

Rotation A 4-6 athletes

Performance training with close coaching feedback.

Rotation B 4-6 athletes

Skill development with detailed correction.

  • Maximum coaching feedback
  • More individual correction and attention to detail
  • Higher repetition quality than a crowded camp
  • Competitive live play when groups come together

Who this is for

Built for athletes who want to be coached hard and improve.

This is an approval-based environment for players and families who value structure, detail, consistency, and competitive standards.

Serious AAU and club players

  • Players already competing in organized basketball
  • Athletes ready for detailed coaching and correction
  • Families who want development, not summer babysitting
  • Players who can handle live play, contact, pace, and mistakes

Committed families

  • Families who can commit to at least 4 weeks
  • Players who will show up prepared and compete
  • Athletes seeking performance gains and game transfer
  • Families who understand the value of small-group attention

Who this is not for

This is not a casual drop-in camp.

The program is intentionally selective because the training environment only works when the athletes in the room are ready to work, listen, and compete.

Not a fit for

  • Beginner players looking for a recreational camp
  • Athletes not ready for contact, pace, or correction
  • Families looking for occasional drop-in attendance
  • Players who do not want accountability or competitive standards

Commitment expectation

Minimum commitment is 4 weeks. If an athlete can only attend 3 weeks, enrollment is subject to availability and families must contact PSH before registering.

Frequently asked questions

Clear expectations before you apply.

There are three access options: 1-week access at $380, 3-week access at $950, and 4+ week access at $1,250.

The program includes performance training, advanced skill development, 3v3 and 4v4 live play, Sunday league games, open gym access, professional coaching, a dedicated basketball court, and full weight room access.

Each program is capped at 12 athletes so PSH can protect coaching attention, training quality, and competitive standards.

Sunday competition runs from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and gives players a weekly opportunity to apply the training week in live games.

No. Families can choose 1-week, 3-week, or 4+ week access. Longer access gives athletes more consistency and more time inside the development system.

Choose the 3-week access option at $950. Enrollment is still subject to availability so the staff can protect group size and training quality.

Performance Space Hoops is located at 3553 Haven Ave, Suite 4, Menlo Park, CA 94025.

No. This program is designed for serious AAU and club basketball players who are ready for a focused, competitive, professionally coached environment.

Limited capacity

24 total roster spots. 12 per program.

Scarcity is real because the training model depends on small groups. Once a program reaches 12 accepted athletes, the roster closes or families move to a waitlist.

12 Program 1 athletes

5th-6th Grade Boys and 6th-8th Grade Girls.

12 Program 2 athletes

7th-8th Grade Boys.

4+ Week minimum commitment

Players need enough consistency for the system to work.
